What To Expect
What does testing include?
Testing through a Clearway partner includes basic health screenings:
Two small vials of blood are collected by a trained medical professional as part of your free health test. The process is quick and usually takes just a few minutes.
You will be asked to provide a urine sample in a private restroom using a collection cup provided by the care team. This part of the testing process is completed privately.
These tests help licensed medical professionals better understand your overall health and identify any concerns that may need follow-up care. A review of your health history is included as part of the testing process, and some locations may also offer a basic medical checkup.
No ID or insurance is needed for testing.
Your results are provided to you and a licensed medical provider for follow-up care. We can also connect you with a primary care provider or help you establish one.
Getting tested is simpler than you might think.
Testing is available at clinics, community events, and, in some cases, at home for people who are homebound. Find a Clearway partner to get started.
Tests do not specifically look for TCE or PCE in your body.
Instead, the tests look at your overall health and check for certain health effects that may be linked to past exposure to the chemicals. If results show that you may need more testing or care, trusted medical professionals will help you determine your next steps.

Water quality in the area has improved over time. Clean-up efforts continue. Now, grant-funded resources are available through December 31, 2026, to help residents and former residents get a picture of how exposure may have affected their health.
